Professional appliance repair and appliance repair technician technician with 5 years of experience.
Last Job Completed:
- Device: Refrigerator
- Brand: General Electric
- Issue: Not cooling
- Description: The refrigerator was purchased in October and has not functioned properly since installation. It briefly cooled initially, then completely stopped cooling in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. A service technician diagnosed a failed compressor. Approximately 2.5 weeks later, the compressor was replaced. After the repair, the unit appeared to function for a short period and began making ice roughly 24 hours later. That same day, we left for a brief vacation. Upon returning, the refrigerator was again not cooling and all ice had melted. Given the repeated failure after a major component replacement and the extended period the unit has been unusable, we are requesting a full unit replacement rather than additional repairs.
